Relocating to a new home can be an overwhelming experience, but not when you choose Weston & Edwards Removals Group. With our expertise in removals across Somerset, Wiltshire, Essex, and Suffolk, we make moving home a seamless and stress-free process for you.

Highly Skilled and Experienced Permanent Staff at Your Service

Our team of dedicated professionals has undergone specialist removals training courses, equipping them with the knowledge and experience necessary to handle your valuable possessions with care.

From delicate grandfather clocks and grand pianos to bulky hot tubs and intricate barometers, our staff are well-versed in dismantling and reassembling items to ensure their safe transportation. We take pride in our commitment to customer satisfaction, which is why we only employ permanent staff members who share our passion for providing exceptional service.

You can trust that our team will treat your belongings with the utmost respect and professionalism throughout the entire moving process.

We understand that every move comes with its unique challenges. That’s why we offer customised quotes for all those ‘niggly’ jobs that often go overlooked.

We have got you covered, whether it’s taking apart and putting together furniture, connecting and disconnecting appliances, emptying the loft, or removing sash windows. In addition to handling these tasks, we also provide comprehensive pre-move consultations to ensure that we fully understand your specific needs and requirements. This allows us to design a customised moving plan that caters to your unique situation, making the entire process as smooth and efficient as possible.

Proper packing is crucial to ensuring the safety of your belongings during transit.

Our trained staff provide expert packing solutions tailored to your specific needs, so you can have peace of mind knowing your possessions are in good hands. We offer a range of packing options, including full packing, partial packing, and self-packing services. If you prefer to pack your belongings yourself, we can supply you with high-quality packing materials to ensure the safety of your items during the move.

Alternatively, our team of professional packers can handle everything for you, from carefully wrapping fragile items to securely packing larger furniture pieces.

At Weston & Edwards, we recognise that some items require extra care and attention. Our team is specially trained to handle awkward and unconventional items, such as grand pianos and hot tubs, using specialist trolleys to guarantee secure transportation between properties.

We understand the importance of preserving the value and integrity of your prized possessions, which is why we invest in ongoing training for our staff. This ensures they are always up-to-date with the latest techniques and equipment for safely moving unusual and delicate items.

Our vehicle fleet is fully equipped with everything needed to protect your belongings and ensure a successful move.

We provide over one hundred protective blankets to prevent scratching, ample ties for securing items, specialised trolleys and sack trucks for heavy or awkward items. Suite covers, flat-screen TV covers, mattress bags, and carpet protectors to keep your possessions in pristine condition. Our vehicles undergo regular maintenance and inspections to guarantee their reliability and safety on the road.

Furthermore, our drivers are experienced professionals who are well-versed in navigating various terrain and weather conditions, ensuring that your belongings arrive at their destination on time and in perfect condition.

No move is too big or too small for us. Our range of vehicles – from small vans to large trucks and trailers – can accommodate all but the very largest moves. We have that covered if smaller vehicles are needed for difficult access. Our expert planning and estimating services guarantee a smooth and efficient move tailored to your specific requirements.

We understand the importance of choosing the right vehicle for your move, which is why we take the time to assess your needs and recommend the most suitable option. This ensures a seamless moving experience and helps minimise your move’s environmental impact by reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

  • Get a quotation well in advance
Either complete our quotation form or make an appointment with our removals estimator. Proper planning ensures a smooth and trouble-free move.
  • Clear out unwanted items
If you have time, get rid of all your unwanted items and rubbish in advance – it’s lovely to move into a new home, without unwanted clutter.
  • Doing your own packing?
Anything that will fit into a box should be packed. Other loose items, garden tools for instance, can be taped together. Don’t overfill the boxes. It’s best to use our cartons as they are tailor-made for the job.
  • Can I leave items in drawers?
Items can be left in drawers if they’re not too heavy, and if the drawers are removable (Our crew can take the drawers out, put the carcass in the truck and replace the drawers to cut down the amount of packing that you have to do).
  • Do I need to empty the Freezer?
Freezers can usually stay full. Perhaps put the food in bags/baskets, so that if we struggle, we can take the food out prior to loading, and put back in for transit. We are often able to plug in the freezer on an overnight move.
  • Keep keys together
Keep all keys (filing cabinets, safe, wardrobes) together in a safe place.
  • Dismantle Self-assembly Furniture
Self-assembly furniture is best dismantled before moving. If requested, we can do this for you!
  • Prepare for Survival
Prepare a survival pack for the things you will need on moving day – toys, kettle, passports and for the first day in your new home ie: bedding. Keep this separately and make sure the removal men know.
  • Update us with any changes
Let your mover know beforehand if you haven’t managed to get your packing done, got rid of stuff or anything else you haven’t asked for in your removal quote. That gives us time to make the necessary arrangements. Make sure your removal company is aware of any access difficulties at either property.
  • Update your contact details with utilities etc
People to notify of your change of address: Doctors, dentists, banks, Gas, Electricity, Royal Mail, phone company, D.V.L.A (Driving licence), Friends and relatives!
